Multi-Warehouse Standardization Labels And Documents Playbook

Use this when the same SKU ships from multiple facilities or a backup site begins fulfilling orders. This playbook is for teams shipping the same catalog from more than one warehouse, 3PL, or overflow location.

Packout checklist

  1. List the approved packout at each site and compare material SKUs, final dimensions, label position, and exception rules.
  2. Confirm materials: thermal labels, label rolls, packing list envelopes, document pouches.
  3. Keep printer media, cleaning cards, and a visible label-orientation sample at the label station.
  4. For multi-warehouse standardization work, treat labels and documents as a controlled operation: define the package spec, stage the right materials, and inspect the first completed orders before volume scales.
  5. Record the approved package size, finished weight, label position, and exception rule.

QA checks

  • Choose one standard packout or a documented regional exception.
  • Share photos and material IDs across sites.
  • Audit the next ten orders from each location after the change.

Station setup

Keep printer media, cleaning cards, and a visible label-orientation sample at the label station.
