Packout checklist

  1. Identify where the product can move, flex, rub, or make contact with a hard carton edge.
  2. Confirm materials: inspection labels, replacement mailers, void fill, return envelopes.
  3. Separate inspect, clean, relabel, and repack areas so returned units do not mix with ready-to-ship inventory.
  4. For fragile product packout work, treat returns and rework as a controlled operation: define the package spec, stage the right materials, and inspect the first completed orders before volume scales.
  5. Record the approved package size, finished weight, label position, and exception rule.

QA checks

  • Add an internal restraint method.
  • Check product clearance on every side.
  • Run a small drop/handling simulation before scaling.
