Packout checklist
- Check total packed weight, closure strength, label adhesion, and whether the item can break through the wall.
- Confirm materials: inspection labels, replacement mailers, void fill, return envelopes.
- Separate inspect, clean, relabel, and repack areas so returned units do not mix with ready-to-ship inventory.
- For heavy small item work, treat returns and rework as a controlled operation: define the package spec, stage the right materials, and inspect the first completed orders before volume scales.
- Record the approved package size, finished weight, label position, and exception rule.
QA checks
- Use a package format rated for the weight.
- Reinforce closure where needed.
- Check carrier weight label accuracy.
