Packout checklist
- Fold the item to its stable packed footprint and compare mailer fit, seal clearance, and presentation needs.
- Confirm materials: inspection labels, replacement mailers, void fill, return envelopes.
- Separate inspect, clean, relabel, and repack areas so returned units do not mix with ready-to-ship inventory.
- For lightweight apparel work, treat returns and rework as a controlled operation: define the package spec, stage the right materials, and inspect the first completed orders before volume scales.
- Record the approved package size, finished weight, label position, and exception rule.
QA checks
- Set size bands by folded footprint.
- Avoid overstuffed seals.
- Confirm the return flow if the same mailer is reused.
