Packout checklist

  1. Group items by weight, fragility, surface finish, and movement risk before selecting the package.
  2. Confirm materials: inspection labels, replacement mailers, void fill, return envelopes.
  3. Separate inspect, clean, relabel, and repack areas so returned units do not mix with ready-to-ship inventory.
  4. For multi-item order work, treat returns and rework as a controlled operation: define the package spec, stage the right materials, and inspect the first completed orders before volume scales.
  5. Record the approved package size, finished weight, label position, and exception rule.

QA checks

  • Put heavier items low and stable.
  • Separate abrasive or sharp items.
  • Avoid filler patterns that let items migrate.
